Makedonski Telekom rounds off the activities of the #NapraviMesto (#MakeRoom) initiative with a unique theater project titled “Imagine a New World”, created as a collage of Goran Stefanovski's pieces, in co-production with the Macedonian National Theater.

Telekom launched the #NapraviMesto (#MakeRoom) initiative to address societal challenges and promote genuine connection among people. Throughout the year, multiple projects on this topic were completed, many important people got involved, different hurdles were overcome, divisive issues were debated, and steps were taken to accept differences between people. The initiative is linked to the ideas found in the writings of one of our greatest playwrights – Goran Stefanovski, which are etched in our memory and remain just as powerful and relevant today.

Imagine a New World

The theater project “Imagine a New World” embodies Stefanovski’s ideas on timeless values such as humanity, understanding and connection, qualities that are frequently overlooked in modern society.

The play is a collaboration with the Macedonian National Theater, directed by Nela Vitošević, with a dramaturgical adaptation by Ana Ristoska-Trpenoska and produced by Vladimir Anastasov and Angela Nestorovska of Sektor Film. A top cast of actors from different generations, including Igor Angelov, Verica Nedevska, Damjan Cvetanovski, Filip Trajković, Nina Dean, Ana Jovanovska, Stefan Spasov and Antonio Taškovski, has been assembled for the production. Composer Ognen Anastasovski created the music, Konstantin Trpenoski designed the set and Roza Trajčevska-Ristoska designed the costumes.

The preview and premiere of “Imagine a New World” are scheduled for December 16 and 17, and the play will remain in the MNT repertoire as a valuable contribution conveying Stefanovski's creations and ideas to upcoming generations.
