The 5G network of Makedonski Telekom is available in almost all major populated places in Macedonia. Skopje and 15 other towns and their surroundings already use 5G services, and in the period from June to October, the following towns will also be covered with the latest fifth generation equipment: Tetovo, Gostivar, Kichevo, Debar, Kumanovo, Kriva Palanka, Kochani, Vinica, Delchevo and Berovo.

With the first 5G commercial network that has been in operation since February this year, the customers of Makedonski Telekom already use 5G services in parallel and in combination with 4G, with advanced technology for dynamic use of the existing radio frequencies. Immediately after the completion of the process of allocating radio frequencies for the radio bands of 700MHz and 3.6GHz by the AEC, the 5G network of Telekom will provide the full potential for super fast Gigabit mobile internet with speeds up to ten times higher than those of 4G.

Telekom's list of certified 5G phones is growing on a daily basis, in order to provide the customers with as wide selection of devices as possible. Novelties in the offer are Samsung Galaxy Fold 3 and Samsung Galaxy Flip 3, and thus almost all phones in the portfolio of Telekom that have this option will be 5G certified.

Telekom started building the 5G network in April 2021 and, with dedicated field operations, by the end of October we will fulfill the plan, whereby 26 towns and their surroundings will be covered with 5G, and their residents will use the latest generation technology.

In just a year and a half, we have built the first and largest 5G network in Macedonia, all in order to provide access to this technology to as many customers as possible and to enable the development of unprecedented services, appropriate to the new digital age.
